There are some effective ways of treating thrush which could either be the use of over the counter medicines, prescriptions from doctors, and homemade treatments that are proven. The root cause or the main reason for a thrush to occur is the occurrence of Candida that might be growing in number due to some factors. Before this infection gets worse, immediately apply treatments that can possibly slowly or right away eliminate Candida.

The use of Nystatin is one successful way of treating thrush by applying it to the area where you get infected. Nystatin should be applied not just once a day but preferably several times. Another one which doctors commonly recommend to patients having thrush is to use Diflucan. The application of Diflucan will depend on the prescription of the Doctor as to how many times and how to apply the said medicine.

There are also homemade treatments that are applicable in treating thrush like the use of Cidar Vinegar which is to be mixed to warm water where you rinse your mouth with the solution at least four times a day. You should also be conscious about the food you are eating because too much sweets and carbohydrates will enable the Candida to grow more and reproduce at a faster rate. The substance which Candida really hate the most is that one found in garlic so it would be nice if you could eat garlic or include garlic as part of your diet. There is that powerful substance inside the garlic which weakens the fungi and absolutely get killed after a while. When it comes to the use of herbs and other medicinal plants, always make sure that you have researched well about it and that you are confident that it has been clinically proven tested already.

There are two ways of having thrush, it can either be an oral thrush found in the mouth or a vaginal thrush located in the vagina. You can cure vaginal thrush by simply cleaning your vagina with warm water because the fungi can die due to hot temperature. If you have thrush, always talk to your partner about it because there is a chance that you can transmit the fungi or worsen the infection during sex. Talk to your partner and maybe you can just probably do it later after the treatment procedure or you may consult the doctor on how to better deal with it.

To cure oral thrush, you can make use of lemon juice which you can rinse your mouth with or a tea tree oil which you can blend with water. These treatments have been clinically tested and proven to be very effective in healing oral thrush as quickly as possible. Never swallow the water or the juice after you have rinsed your mouth and make sure that you are doing it for at least four times a day.

If ever you have noticed that nothing is getting well and there are no improvements or any signs of recovery from your thrush, it is best to consult the doctor because you might be having a more serious infection other than the thrush. Severe infection might need a more serious medication than the usual treatments usually used in treating thrush.

Treating thrush properly, whether this is the first infection, second or even third, is important in preventing spreading and reducing pain. Thrush is a very unpleasant and uncomfortable yeast infection that grows in moist and warm areas such as the mouth, vagina and even between the toes causing athlete’s foot. When thrush is not properly treated it can spread as quick as lightening.

There are many treatments claiming to treat thrush and while it is possible to cure thrush permanently and live thrush free the truth is that there are very few treatments which are both safe and effective in treating thrush successfully.

Symptoms of Thrush

Vaginal Thrush symptoms are: a white vaginal discharge which looks like cottage cheese, persistent and painful itching, irritation, redness of the vagina and burning sensation during urinating. It is advisable to refrain from sex during a thrush infection as it can be contagious. Besides these symptoms many women also complain with other chronic symptoms related to thrush such as a lack of energy, fatigue, joint aches and unexplained food cravings.

Mouth Thrush symptoms are: a dry mouth with white deposits and bad breath and pain when swallowing.

Thrush is caused by an overgrowth in yeast and sets in deeply rooted in the flesh like roots from a tree. This overgrowth can be caused by a recent course of antibiotics, a weak immune system, birth control pills, a diet lacking in nutritional value and even stress causes yeast to overgrow.

Unfortunately most conventional thrush treatments only partially treat thrush and leaves some yeast cells behind still deeply rooted which is why the infection flares up again only a few weeks later. This is the reason why many women are still prone to vaginal thrush regularly and just before menstruation.

Treating Thrush Successfully

In order to get rid of thrush infections permanently it is important to treat what caused the infection in the first place. Sugar is a major contributor to an overgrowth in yeast; by reducing your intake of sugar you will prevent the infection from recurring. For treating pain, itching and burning natural remedies are just effective at treating thrush as is conventional medicine. For burning relief use apple cider vinegar douche, for swelling and redness use aloe vera products and use garlic to get rid of vaginal discharge and itchiness.

Preventing Thrush

Introduce natural yogurt in your daily diet, this contains friendly bacteria which will help keep all type thrush infections at bay. Avoid tight clothing and opt for cotton underwear to allow proper breathing. Change sanitary wear regularly and use unscented soap when washing. Change your toothbrush regularly and use an antiseptic mouthwash.

A mouth yeast infection is not a common type of infection. This infection is commonly referred to as ‘Thrush’ and it is something that usually happens to babies more than anyone. Mouth yeast infections have only been well known about within the past 10-15 years because they were previously so uncommon and unheard of. Not only is this type of infection painful, but it can also be very embarrassing for those who suffer from it. What happens is that a creamy, curd-like white substance occurs in patches in the mouth, the tongue, the lips, and even on the inside of the cheeks. These spots can be as big as a 50 cent piece or as small as a fingernail. Lesions can also run down the throat, although they will not be seen like others. They will still be felt, however, and are not pleasant by any means.

Many physicians never knew the cause of a mouth related yeast infection. Therefore, they would simply scrape off the fungus and leave patients with raw, bleeding skin irritations that hurt very badly. Additionally, when this condition is left untreated, it can travel through the body and create problems with other body parts, which is why it is considered to be much more dangerous than any other type of yeast infection. The main cause of a mouth infection related to yeast, as doctors have now figured out, is extensive use of steroids and/or antibiotics. Thrush was popular among patients with weakened immune systems simply because they could not fight it off as well.

According to research, Thrush comes in four different stages and each one carries with it its own difficulties. The most common stage that people are aware of is the Thrush or moniliasis stage, which is the onset of the infection. However, from here it goes to the Erythematous stage, which is when the coating comes off and there is red tissue left behind. Following that, the mouth sores will not go away and will appear to be stained from food or tobacco products, which is known as the Chronic Hyperplastic stage. Finally, the person’s mouth corners will develop red cracks and enter the final stage known as Angular Cheilitis.

When a mouth infection that is caused by yeast is not treated effectively, it can be dangerous to the wellbeing of the person. There are many pharmacies that offer an over the counter pill that will end these infections, but sometimes they are not effective. Generally, the symptoms are just covered up until they go away, rather than actually destroying the source of the infection. Understanding yeast infections of the mouth and how they work is your first step in getting the help that you need. You should always discuss this issue with a doctor to ensure that you get the right treatment. Thrush is a very serious condition and one that you cannot afford to overlook. Keep these things in mind and you can make the healing process even easier on yourself.
