Did you know that there are currently foods in your diet that are feeding yeast in your body right now? What’s worse is if you continue to eat these foods you will NEVER fully eliminate the yeast. The good news is that the yeast infection diet required for prevention is easy and straightforward. The bad news is it can be quite restrictive and difficult for someone who is accustomed to eating anything and everything without consequence.

Today I’ll provide you with the 3 yeast infection diet changes that you must make in order to have proper prevention and elimination of a yeast infection.

Yeast Infection Diet Change #1

Stop The Sugar! – So why stop eating sugar, it’s seems so harmless? Fact, sugar is the main food yeast feed off of and it also increases bodily fermentation which increases the odds of developing various diseases such as cancer. Harmless… far from it!

Yeast Infection Diet Change #2

Stop The Alcohol! – Alcohol is a by product of fermentation in the body, fermentation being the process through which yeast can rapidly grow and develop. So the last thing you want is something in your body that came from fermentation. Why? Because your liver must detoxify all these by products and whether you realize it or not, it is slowly building up and causing various health problems that will manifest in a few short years from now. Also alcohol directly reduces immune system function and kills the good bacteria in your body that is meant to help defend your body against yeast infections.

Yeast Infection Diet Change #3

Stop The Yeast! – If you’re already fighting off a yeast infection the last thing you want to do is put more yeast into your body. The yeast in your food may not create the yeast that causes the infection. It does however provide all the necessary nutrition to the yeast infection with the exception of sugar. If you continue to eat foods with yeast and sugar such as donuts you will have continued yeast infections and the severity will only get worse!

In addition to a yeast infection diet, there are natural treatments you must do in order to eliminate the yeast infection quickly and permanently.

Yeast infection

Overgrowth of yeast results in skin rashes, mouth infections (thrush), digestive disorders, esophagus and vaginal infections (vaginitis).Since yeast infections occur most frequently in moist areas of the body, the mouth and the vaginal areas are most prone to be affected by it.

Yeast Infection is an infection caused by a tiny fungus known as “Candida albicans” or yeast. Most women have candida in their vagina, and most people have it in their mouths and the lower intestinal tract. It is only when the yeast outnumbers the healthy bacteria in the vagina that an infection happens. For treating yeast infections, usually medicines are used which are inserted in your vagina. These medicines are normally creams applied to the vaginal areas with the help of applicators, or they may be suppositories that can be left in the vagina to dissolve on their own

Yeast Infection and antibiotics

The normal course of treatment of yeast infections is by inserting medicines in the affected areas, which are normally creams applied to the vaginal areas with the help of applicators, or suppositories that can be left in the vagina to dissolve on their own. Other available forms of yeast infection medication can be creams, which can be applied on the vulva to help relieve itching, or pills which can be taken by mouth.

Yeast infection and antibiotics used to cure it should not be taken lightly. As soon as you see the symptoms of Yeast infection, you should consult a doctor. The treatment methods used are by tropical or anti-fungal medications. But many people prefer using the home remedies for these infections. Not because the cost of medication is high, but because the methods are more natural.

Treating yeast infection is possible using two ways, following the medical and the natural ways. They can be described and categorized as:

1 Antifungal Medication

2. Home Remedies.

Vaginal yeast infection may be treated with antifungal medications that are applied topically in and around the vagina or with antifungal medications taken by mouth. Sometimes, mixed infections with more than one microbe can require combinations of treatments. Topically applied antifungal creams include butoconazole (Femstat 3), clotrimazole (Lotrimin), miconazole (Monistat), and andterconazole (Terazol 3).

Oral medications for yeast vaginitis and include fluconazole (Diflucan). Most doctors prefer to treat vaginal yeast infections with vaginal tablets or suppositories rather than oral medications. Oral antifungal medication can cause side effects such as headache, nausea, and abdominal pain, while vaginal treatment is unlikely to cause these side effects. Oral antifungal medications are also not recommended for use during pregnancy.

These drugs are in the same anti-fungal family and work in similar ways to break down the cell wall of the Candida organism until it dissolves. They are available in generic form also and those work just as well.

Home remedies are present for the yeast infections and antibiotics are also available at OTC counters. While home remedies may offer relief in minor cases of the infection, it is advisable to seek medical attention, especially if you are unable to judge the extent of the infection. Treating yeast infections solely with medication may not give desired results, and other underlying causes require consideration.

Is it possible for men to catch yeast infection? Yeast infection can happen on anybody, Whether you are a man or woman. Women it is just that the symptoms will vary slightly different between men and.

What are the yeast infection symptoms in men?

- Candida overgrowth in the genital area
- Itchiness
- Head of the penis may appear to have blisters red rashes or white patches
- White and thick discharge
- Burning sensation during sexual intercourse or urinating

What are the likely causes of yeast infection in men?

There are many possible causes to get penile infection. One of the most common causes is through sexual intercourse. If a man has unprotected sexual activities with a woman who has vaginal yeast symptoms, it is likely possible for the woman to transmit the candida to the man.

Men who have serious diabetic problem will also have greater risk of getting the symptoms and because the sugar content is higher than normal level bodies, yeast can thrive on it.

Other possibilities can also be due to medication such as antibiotics. Antibiotic not only wants to kill the bad bacteria in the body, it can also kill the good ones. Sometimes because of this, it can cause an overgrowth of the candida that will lead to infection.

In order to prevent the infection from getting worse, it is best to seek for effective treatment to get rid of the symptoms because sometimes the infection can persist for months or the chances of the symptoms recurring again can be quite high if it is not treated properly .

Yeast infections can affect the skin, mouth, intestines and vagina. They are caused mostly by the Candida albicans organism although other yeast species can be involved. The most common type of yeast infection is a vaginal yeast infection which yields symptoms of itching, burning and a thick, cottage cheese discharge that cakes the lining of the vagina.

Candida yeast infections of the vagina are more common in those who are taking antibiotics for another reason, on those who eat too much sugar or are diabetic. Women with immune deficiency can be bothered by yeast infections on a regular basis. Even women who wear underwear that doesn’t breathe or is too tight can become prone to Candida yeast infections. A lot of women are allergic to perfumes, dyes and soaps that are used to wash underclothing. Such irritation can yield a yeast infection.

Candida yeast infection is actually a sexually transmitted disease. Men have little or no symptoms but can harbor the Candida species on their penis. The woman can get the yeast infection after having intercourse with a man who has the Candida on their penis. This is a common cause of recurrent infections that don’t get better over time.

Candida can infect the moist and dark areas of the skin, most commonly under the breasts or in the groin folds. In babies, it can be a cause of a diaper rash. The way you know a diaper rash is a yeast infection is because there are satellite lesions that crop up outside the basic area of redness. You’ll see the same lesions along with a macerated red skin lesion if it affects adults with the disorder.

When Candida affects the mouth, it causes a white coating on the tongue and the rest of the mouth. It is most common in infants and in the immune suppressed. If infants are affected, you need to boil all of the pacifiers and the baby bottle nipples so as to limit reinfection. Sometimes a breastfeeding mom needs to treat her nipples so she doesn’t pass it around to the infant again.

When Candida affects the intestines, it wipes out the healthy bacteria of the gut leading to diarrhea or constipation, bloating and cramping of the colon. Such an infection primarily affects the colon and causes the colon to become leaky. Candida organisms and undigested food can pass through to the blood stream and give lots of allergy symptoms like joint aches and pains, extreme fatigue and intestinal upset.

Except for Systemic Candidiasis, the other forms of Candida are easy to treat. The vaginal infections can be treated with vaginal yeast creams, ovules or prefilled syringes with anti-yeast medication. Skin yeast infections are treated by cleaning and drying the skin and by using antifungal creams or powders. Oral thrush is treated by using a nystatin liquid and swishing and swallowing it in the mouth a couple of times per day. The mouth must be cleansed with a toothbrush which must be boiled after the treatment.

So, women.. you’ve got itching and burning, and there’s an unsightly discharge in your underwear. You’re probably getting ready to reach for an over the counter yeast infection treatment like Monistat or Vagistat to provide relief to your “yeast infection.”

Wait a minute.. how can you be sure that what you have is actually is a yeast infection?

Rule Out The Imposters Before You Reach For The Over The Counter Yeast Infection Treatment

There are other, more serious vaginal issues such as Bacterial Vaginosis, and Trichomoniasis – a sexually transmitted disease, that should be ruled out before you settle on a diagnosis of yeast infection.. particularly if you are pregnant.

In fact, Bacterial Vaginosis is a far more common diagnosis among women of reproductive age. Both are a result of our body’s pH level being disrupted and causing an imbalance in the bacterial makeup of the vagina.

Bacterial Vaginosis is a result of an overgrowth of bacteria, while Vaginal Candidiasis is an overgrowth of yeast.

Symptoms Very Similar

Symptoms for all three of these vaginal issues are remarkably similar to the untrained eye..

Vaginal itch and burning

Painful urination and intercourse

Discharge that may have curd-like appearance.. or not

Odor – may or may not smell “yeasty” with a yeast infection; it may be foul smelling with Bacterial Vaginosis.

Only your physician can tell you for sure if what you have is, in fact, a yeast infection. And, in the meantime, he or she can rule out a far more serious diagnosis such as a sexually transmitted disease.

A vaginal yeast infection can be easily treated using an over the counter yeast infection treatment, or homeopathic treatment. If you’re pregnant, you’re doctor may recommend or prescribe an anti-fungal treatment that you can safely use.

Many women, when experiencing uncomfortable itching or discharge from the vagina, assume that they have a yeast infection. Unfortunately, many women are unaware that Bacterial Vaginosis may be the cause of their symptoms.

Yeast infections are caused by an overgrowth of a fungus, Candida Albicans, that should be kept in check by naturally-present, harmless bacteria in the vagina. Often, when a woman takes a course of antibiotics, these harmless bacteria are wiped out. Without the harmless bacteria, Candida grows out of control, resulting in a yeast infection.

Pregnancy, birth control pills, diabetes, hormonal changes, allergies, a poor diet, or poor hygiene can all contribute to the presence of a yeast infection. Yeast infections can also be sexually transmitted, so it may be best to use a condom every time you have sex if you want to prevent future infections.

Some of the hallmark symptoms of a yeast infection include a white, cheesy discharge along with itching and burning of the vagina.

Bacterial Vaginosis is another type of vaginal infection that can cause itching or burning of the vagina, along with discharge.

The vagina secretes a thin, whitish/gray discharge when it is trying to rid itself of BV. A foul, fishy odor emenating from the vagina is also usually present.

What exactly causes Bacterial Vaginosis is not scientifically known. More than likely, a combination of factors contribute to an infection. Sexual activity, an unhealthy diet, the wearing of synthetic underwear, and stress all place a woman at risk for developing BV.

It’s important to treat Bacterial Vaginosis when diagnosed, as the infection can lead to future complications like ectopic pregnancies or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease.

Many people suffer from yeast infections, both men and women. The discomfort and pain associated with yeast infections is often very hard to cope with. There is an embarrassing element to the infection and some people do not feel comfortable discussing this even with a doctor. Yeast is a type of fungus that is found naturally within the human body. It is present on the skin, in the gut, and in the vagina. Although this doesn’t sound very pleasant it is a natural aspect of how the body works. Just like we have bacteria in the gut that helps us digest food, fungus is present to help with the natural balance of things. Unfortunately, if the yeast becomes more dominant in the body it can start to cause discomfort. Vaginal Yeast Infection This is the most common form of yeast infection in women, it is often described as ‘Thrush’. Up to 75% of women will have a case of vaginal yeast infection during their life.

Symptoms

* Itching – around the vulva (the opening to the vagina)
* Soreness – area may be red and inflamed (swollen)
* Burning sensation – area feels very hot and uncomfortable
* Inflamation – vagina and or vulva may feel enlarged
* Vaginal discharge – not always present. But there may be a change in discharge, typically odourless, white and thicker.
* Pain during Intercourse – not always present. It may cause pain when having sex or just cause discomfort.

Male Yeast Infection / Male Thrush Men suffer from yeast infections too and it can often be even more embarrassing for them because it is often considered a female problem. Thrush is not considered to be a sexually transmitted disease but it is possible to pass it on between partners. However it can develop in men who have not had sexual intercourse.

Symptoms

* Inflammation – the penis becomes red and swollen
* Red spots – often raised red spots appear on the head of the penis
* Soreness and Itching – this is the most common symptom which can cause a large amount of discomfort.
* Discharge – unusual secretions collect under the foreskin. It commonly looks like ‘cottage cheese’, a white, thick paste.

Oral Yeast Infection / Oral Thrush Anybody can suffer from a yeast infection in the mouth and it can cause a lot of pain and discomfort. It is thought that 50% of the population have candida (the yeast causing thrush) present in the mouths. It is only if this gets out of control that a problem occurs. Oral Thrush tends to be quite uncommon.
