Women who are pregnant can have a lot of emotional stress. This can weaken the immune system and increase the chance of yeast infection growth. Women who are pregnant crave sugar-rich foods and these sugars increase the threat of a yeast infection even more fueled by a sugary environment.

When people search on the phrase ‘sex with a yeast infection’ it’s not really clear if they mean ‘is it okay to have sex with a yeast infection?’ or, ‘I get an infection every time I have sex.’ Here I’ll cover both these scenarios and give you the facts on why you need to cut-out sex if you want to clear that nasty infection.

Let me be clear from the start, sex is not an actual cause of yeast infection. But, and it’s a big ‘but,’ sex can definitely ‘transfer’ the infection to your partner. And, worse than that, it can get transferred back again. This can go on, back and forth, as long as you keep on having sex.

Let’s now see why sex actually does this. A key reason is that sperm can alter the body pH in the vagina and under the foreskin. And, the act itself can damage and tear the soft tissues both in the male and female.

The problem is that the yeast-like fungus that causes yeast infection (Candida Albicans) loves to reside in warm, moist areas of the body, it loves to take up house in damaged tissue, and, it can grow and spread when the pH balance of the body is upset.

So you can see that if one partner has an infection then it is so easy to transfer it to the other through sex. And once it takes hold there, it can easily be transferred back again. When this point is reached it can be extremely difficult to cure yeast infection because it is always being ‘aided’ by the sex.

So the very first step, when you know that even one of you has an infection, is to stop all sexual contact. And avoid sex until both parties’ infections have been completely cleared up.

But because a healthy sex life is very important to very many people, especially in loving relationships, it’s also vital that any yeast infection remedy should be as fast as possible, as well as effective…

The problem with everyday medications you get over-the-counter or by prescription, is that they only address the local symptoms, not the root causes. These are things like; a lowered immune system, antibiotics overuse, high blood sugar (diet, diabetes), hormonal changes (pregnancy, etc.), some drugs, etc.

So that when you come off the meds, because you symptoms have gone, there’s nothing to prevent your infection re-occurring. And the fungus can become drug-resistant come time.

This is why women and men with yeast infections are increasingly turning very successfully to totally natural remedies without the negative aspects of drugs. What’s more, many of these report success in as little as 12 hours. See below.

Finally a reprieve! After nine long months she is saying goodbye to the morning sicknesses, bad moods, belly kicking by the innocent fetus not to mention the maddening birthing process that called the nightmare off. Listen to the experienced mothers, as they narrate the long stories about how they conceived each adorable fruit of their womb and the unbearable yeast infection pregnancy crisis.

Obviously being a youthful lady in the group means that perhaps their language will be so difficult for you to understand when they talk about the yeast infections pregnancy signs when very pregnant with so and so. The looks in their eyes only translate to awesome pity they feel for untouchable you. Go on, brag about your super-flat tummy now!! It will not be, long before it is all puffed up and nauseating.

In the above light, then this article is addressing those who are pregnant now and those young beautiful ladies waiting to carry their own fresh and blood in their own womb someday. yeast infections pregnancy symptoms do not automatically end with the birth of the child but it might go on due to breast feeding process as the milk spill out wherever it pleases!! This only adds up to the fact that this issue need to be tackled vigilantly so that our sisters responsible for the beautiful people we see around the planet do not fear procreating and filling the world.

Nonetheless, during pregnancy the body goes through so many hormonal changes that it directly affects the vaginal environment. The increased sugar levels in the vaginal secretions feed the yeast giving rise to yeast infection. I think the reason why expectant women experience chronic yeast infection pregnancy problems is because of a weakened immune system too. She must remember that she is sharing her body with someone else who needs her nurturing and protection leading to competition of food and not diseases.

As such the mother is pushed to the receiving end of everything that is filthy including the yeast infection pregnancy signs, since her remaining strength is channeled towards the health of the baby. As a result when a woman is pregnant, she should not risk the health of her child by treating herself at home with over the counter antibiotics. The best thing is to see the doctor for proper direction and advice until the birth of the baby is due.

Yeast infections Pregnancy treatment remains the alike for all. Your physician will carry out yeast infection pregnancy test by using a fragment of your vaginal discharge to verify incidence of yeast to confirm the diagnosis. If you do have yeast infection, he or she may give you a yeast infections pregnancy prescription or recommend an over-the-counter antifungal cream or vaginal suppository that is safe during pregnancy like the Candisil medication.

By applying it regularly into the vagina for several days, you can almost be sure of a permanent yeast infections pregnancy cure. Normally, it takes ten to fourteen days to find relief or completely clear up the infection during pregnancy. Some time ago the infection has cleared up and the sores, if any, have healed so use a starch-free drying powder to prevent a recurring infection. Nevertheless, take the advice of your physician first, before trying out anything.

For any woman who has suffered a yeast infection, they will tell you it’s uncomfortable and more than just an annoyance. The National Women’s Health Information Service says over 75% of all women will suffer at least one yeast infection in their life. The rate is over 50% for another yeast infection.
The cause of yeast infection is a tiny one celled fungus called yeast. There are many types of yeast but the one most frequently causing yeast infections is the species Candida. When it overgrows it can cause a vaginal infection but it also can cause a mouth infection as well. A yeast infection is not only annoying, it become painful as well.
Now Candida is not a foreigner to the body. It grows normally on and inside the body. Candida especially likes to grow under moist, warm conditions. It can be found growing in the vagina, foreskin of the penis, and in skin folds. Normally the body keeps the level of yeast under control. In the vagina there is a specialized bacteria whose job is to keep the yeast from overgrowing. These bacteria keep the vagina acidic preventing the overgrowth of the yeast.
Circumstances happening in life can overtake the body’s normal defense system. It may be stress, taking antibiotics for a urinary tract infection, or the hormonal changes of pregnancy. When this happens the yeast do not have the normal check and balances system. They overgrow and the result is what we call a yeast infection.
Symptoms of a yeast infection include itching and burning. There are many different ways of treating a yeast infection. Most prescription medications work decreasing the growing number of yeast. This type of treatment works on the symptoms of the yeast infection, not the cause.
What are some of the causes of yeast infection?
You take an antibiotic for a strep throat or urinary tract infection. When you do you kill not only the bad bacteria but the helpful bacteria which prevents you from getting a yeast infection. Without the guarding effect of the helpful bacteria your body is unable to stop the yeast from overgrowing.
When you are stressed, you tax your body’s defense system. With the body trying to combat the effect of stress it is unable to fight off the overgrowth of yeast.
Tight jeans can also lead to yeast infections. Tight jeans causes an environment where body sweat and heat is held tightly against the body. Since yeast likes warm moist environments, tight jeans can set up the body for a yeast infection.
Hormone levels fluctuate wildly during pregnancy. These changing levels can lead to the ideal conditions for yeast to grow and grow leading to a yeast infection.
When you douche you change the normal acidic environment of the vagina. this can make it easy for the yeast to overgrow and cause a vaginal yeast infection. People who are diabetic and often have high or uncontrolled blood sugars are also prone to yeast infections. That’s because yeast like to feed on sugar.
Yeast infection prevention is a topic you should discuss with your health care provider. There are many natural ways you can use to change your life and lifestyle to prevent yeast infections from happening.

Douching won’t treat or prevent yeast infections, and may actually help the yeast to multiply all the more.

Douching is the practice of cleaning the vagina with some type of solution, be it plain water, a homemade mixture such as water and vinegar, or a product bought in a store. But regardless of the liquid used, does douching ever make sense?

Preventing Yeast Infections: Thumbs Down to Douching

Some women believe that douching helps clean the vagina and can treat or prevent yeast infections , bacterial vaginosis, or other types of vaginal infections , but these are misconceptions, says Orli Etingin, MD, professor of clinical medicine and director of the Iris Cantor Women’s Health Center at NewYork”Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. “Douching may [temporarily] enhance comfort or relieve vaginal itching or other symptoms, but it cannot treat the infection,” she explains.

Several professional groups, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Office on Women’s Health, agree with Dr. Etingin and specifically recommend that women do not douche for any reason.

Preventing Yeast Infections: The First Misconception

Contrary to what douching products on drugstore shelves may claim, douching does not clean the vagina. The ACOG says the best way to keep the vagina clean is to let it handle that job itself: A normal, healthy vagina produces secretions that wash away semen, menstrual blood, and normal vaginal discharge.

Normally, the vagina harbors several kinds of benign bacteria as well as yeast, which is a type of fungus. These organisms usually live in a healthy balance, with each keeping the other in check. Douching, especially repeated douching, can upset this balance by wiping out the good bacteria, allowing yeast to proliferate and cause or worsen a yeast infection.

You don’t have to do anything special to keep the vaginal area clean ” just wash with soap and water during your usual bath or shower.

Preventing Yeast Infections: The Second Misconception

Douching with alternative or conventional products will not help prevent yeast infections .

Some alternative-health proponents advocate treating yeast infections with douches made from hydrogen peroxide, tea tree oil, lemon juice or vinegar, or herbal mixtures, but there is no evidence that any of these remedies work, Etingin warns.

And some commercial douching products may contain perfumes, dyes, preservatives, or antiseptics, any of which may irritate the lining of the vagina and make it easier for organisms to enter and reproduce.

Preventing Yeast Infections: Other Issues With Douching

Along with an increased risk of yeast infections, women who douche frequently have a higher risk of:

Other vaginal infections, such as bacterial vaginosis

Vaginal irritation

Pelvic inflammatory disease, or infections of the uterus, fallopian tubes, or ovaries, which result when bacteria travel from the vagina up into a woman’s reproductive organs

Ectopic pregnancy, which occurs when a fertilized egg implants itself in the fallopian tubes instead of the uterus

It’s not yet clear whether douching itself causes these problems, or if women who have these problems tend to douche more often.

So the next time you’re tempted to buy a douching product, remember that douching has shown little benefit beyond perhaps a short-lived reduction in odor or relief of vaginal itching. And that pales in comparison to the potential risks.

Yeast Infection (a.k.a Candadiasis) is a virus caused by a cluster of minute fungi that reside in the different surfaces of our body. This kind of disease is becoming very dominant which is why people research on yeast infection and its causes to be able to avoid it.

This kind of infection usually occurs in warm and wet areas of the body such as your underarms especially if you are fond of wearing very tight garments and perspire a lot. Normally, your skin blocks the fungi from penetrating through your body. But if there are open wounds on the surface of the skin, these wounds could be an entrance for organisms.

Oral infections have become frequent for adults as they grow older. It could also appear below the chest and lower belly, in denture, nail beds and other parts that are under the skin folds. Through treatments however, clearing up this infection could be as easy as 1-2-3.

If the condition of the infection is more critical, a usual treatment could be ineffective as this could be coming out from a more dangerous illness. There a lot of possible causes for yeast infection.

Technically, women are more prone to the disease as compared to men. This is because there are women who have fungus present in their vaginal area – a fungus known as Candida abicanis. Also, when women reach their menopausal stage, there may be changes in their hormones that would promote the occurrence of it.

If your immune system is weak, due to lack of sleep or probably stress, the growth of bacteria increases in speed. Workaholics who tend to not balance their work time and rest time could be in trouble with yeast infection because they drain their body’s energy to a great extent without supplementing it with a sufficient break. One should also have a good diet so that your body will not be easily affected when faced with pressures of work to avoid fatigue.

The infection could also be passed on during sexual intercourse. If you engage in sexual activity with a person who is infected, then your chances of being contaminated are high. This could happen when your partner’s body fluids such as sweat and semen would penetrate your skin. The use of sexual contraceptives like pregnancy pills and condoms could also be a cause of yeast infection.

For diabetics, the level of their blood sugar could also be a factor that could cause yeast infection. When it’s high, the growth of yeast could become rapid and it would be dangerous because it might spread to other parts of your body causing more complications. Too much intake of antibiotics is also one of the possible causes of yeast infection.
